There’s a mob at the Gull everyone wants their trouble cured so everyone races to Nathan, pressing in on Nathan and James. Dwight, Duke and Audrey get them out. Duke and Sam stay behind to handle the crowd as Dwight and Audrey get them to the police station.

A group of teenagers watch in shock of the chaos.

Duke and Sam are knocked out on the ground as people follow Nathan, Audrey and Dwight racing away in Dwight’s truck.

Act I

People start flocking to the police station wanting to get in and be cured. Dwight thinks they can wait them out, they’ve got supplies they’ll stay the night by the morning people will be gone. As they get supplies for the night James confronts Nathan about knowing him. All Nathan will say is he knew his mother.

Audrey gets the chief’s office to sleep, being the only woman. Nathan goes to her since he remembers who they were. Audrey hasn’t seen Nathan since the Gull, when he didn’t remember. He apologizes for being a jerk. She apologizes too but he continues with his thought, “what happened when I left the barn?” He doesn’t remember and she says, “It’s complicated.” and doesn’t want to tell him. She simply hugs him and he remembers how silly he was acting like a horny teenager saying, “Did I really?” she nods. He’s ashamed. She kisses him. James interrupts with a sleeping bag for Nathan, unaware he interrupted anything. Audrey says, she’s going to call Duke, tell him they’re alright.

As Duke’s phone rings he is on the floor of the Gull unconscious, a cut on his face. Sam is beside him also unconscious. The phone stops ringing. The Sun comes up. Sam awakens and tries to help Duke. He is groggy but alive. She gets him up.

In a typical house a teenage boy wakes up and finds his family and friends are all talking about Nathan, how he can cure troubled people. No one has remembered his birthday, since there’s no school they were going to go to the beach. He’s upset uttering under his breath saying, “They think he’s Jesus.”

Its morning at the police station the crowds are worse, everyone wants their trouble cured, its public news now. People are trying to claw their way into the police station. James quickly starts to board up the windows with stuff he found, thinking they might need it. Everyone helps.

ACT II

Dwight makes a new plan, they need to leave, and they’ll do so by the access tunnels under the station – Nathan had no idea they had those and wonders why they didn’t do that before. Dwight says, “Well they’re a little hard to get to.” He starts to pound out the cement floor in one of the jail cells. When Nathan goes to the basement to find more tools James starts to help saying he can modify the floor polisher he found in the closet. Dwight, impressed, is grateful for the help. James says he feels bad for causing this. Dwight tells him not to beat himself up he didn’t know.

At the Gull Duke and Sam are worried. Duke’s been hurt, from the crowd and Sam is trying to bandage his wound. He is annoyed, says she’s hurting him though it’s a little cut. She calls him a baby. He mocks her about not being able to talk sense into her congregation. She says, “They don’t always listen to me.” He says, “She could try.”

Audrey, Nathan, and Dwight, are pounding at the floor as James modifies the floor polisher. James has it working and wants to try it. Audrey, since only two people are necessary for the polisher, takes a break to call Duke, she couldn’t get through to him last night. The polisher works to break through the cement, its power reeved up beyond safe.

Duke gets Audrey’s call. He’s glad she’s alright. She communicates she was worried about him, they tried to connect earlier, the night before but couldn’t get through. Sam makes a comment that he was knocked unconscious drooling on the floor. Audrey asks them to check out what’s going on.

Dwight and Nathan make progress but it only takes two of them to steady the polisher and it’s all they need so they let James rest. Audrey, having been careful not to touch him before, since he’d feel her as Nathan does though he can’t feel, can now touch him without him noticing anything odd. She thanks him for helping trying to act all cool while she holds his arm. When his back’s facing her she can’t help but look at her hand that touched him and be happy she can touch him.

As Sam and Duke check out the police station at Audrey’s behest Sam notices some of the people are quoting the Bible, and badly, there’s a trouble afoot. People are acting very strangely as they try to speak old English and quote the King James Bible with all the flowery language.

The teenage boy, upset everyone forgot his birthday rides across town. Seeing his parents at the police station he asks his parents what they’re doing. His parents tell him “the Christ has come, who will heal us”. The teenage boy makes the comment about Nathan thinking he’s Jesus, “He thinks he’s Jesus.” He says as fact. Sam comments to the boy “they seem to think it” and the boy intimidated by her rides away on his bike. Sam turns to Duke and says, “See they don’t always listen to me and sometimes they run away.” The church bells ring.

Inside the station, Nathan and Dwight have uncovered the passageway out of the station. But Nathan has no intention of going down into it. He insists that he go and heal the people. Audrey doesn’t understand what’s going on and tries to reason with him saying he can’t go out there, there’s a mob. Nathan seems to be listening when Audrey’s cell goes off, it’s Duke. They tell her that there’s a strange trouble making people think Nathan is Jesus. Before anyone realizes it Nathan has gone outside.

Act III

Outside, the people gather round him begging him to heal them, “Good people.” He says, “Your faith has rewarded you, I am here. Come and I will heal all of you.” He heals a man. Everyone gathers around him worshiping him and he takes it all in.

Duke and Sam standing nearby, stare. Sam says, “Oh my God. Did he just…?”  Duke says, “This is my worst nightmare.”

Audrey talks to Nathan, “What are you doing?” She asks. He answers that he’s going to heal these people. It’s what Jesus does.” She realizes he thinks he’s Jesus. Dwight, annoyed is going to drag Nathan from the crowd but Audrey pulls him back she wants to see what will happen. Everything seems to be calm as the people sit down on the grass outside the police station. She tells Dwight that they think he’s Jesus, it’s a trouble, one they may be able to use to their advantage. James realizes what she means, “if he can heal people and then everyone think it was simply a trouble Nathan won’t be exposed”. He had the same thought as Audrey. James agrees to stay with him, the name comes in handy, since he was a disciple of Jesus.

Audrey and Dwight go around the crowd. Audrey sees Vince and Dave watching and goes up to them. Dwight follows. Duke and Sam see them and meet them. Vince and Dave completely lucid are excited by what’s happening. Audrey worried about them being affected asks them what they think is happening. “Oh, they think Nathan’s Jesus.” They say and laugh. Audrey asks them to keep track of all the people he heals. Vince and Dave said they were already planning on doing that.

As Audrey, Dwight, Sam and Duke talk about how to fix this Duke repeats that “this is my worst nightmare.” still in shock. As Nathan teaches that “the father in Heaven loves all humanity and blessed are the poor in spirit, though I walk through the valley and the shadow of death I fear no evil for God is with me” Sam and Duke talk about what’s happened that they think he’s Jesus. Duke asks if he’s been like this all night. Since he hasn’t they wonder what’s changed, a few seconds ago. As Nathan starts to actually heal people of their troubles, Audrey says, “He thinks he’s Jesus.” and Sam realizes that the teen boy who came by said that Nathan thought he was Jesus just before the church bells rang. Audrey says, “that’s when things changed”. They realize the teenage boy must be the one troubled, they have to find him. Dwight goes with Duke who saw him as Sam stays with Audrey to watch Nathan and perhaps talk to the people.

The kid goes back to his house leaving his bike in the driveway he barges in the house and begins to open up all the junk food. He sits to watch TV, grumbling all the way upset his parents don’t seem to care he’s not going to care about their rules either – he puts his feet up on the coffee table.

Dwight and Duke go the direction the kid went.

Back at the police station Sam and Audrey watch Nathan continue to heal people. Audrey is concerned, “they won’t hurt him right, because they think he’s Jesus.” Sam nods but then says, “well, Jesus was crucified so…” they both know there really is no guarantee. Nathan is starting to get fatigued which is worrying Audrey. She gestures to James who is beside Nathan.

James tries to convince Nathan to rest. Nathan refuses to rest as if it’s not in Jesus character so it can’t be in his. Audrey turns to Sam, worried about Nathan. He’s not looking so good. Sam steps up and speaks about how the people must be hungry, perhaps it would be a good time for everyone to gather lunch. Nathan agrees and has people gather food for everyone. Audrey thanks Sam.

Dwight and Nathan are having a hard time finding the kid, there are a lot of streets in Haven. Dwight has the idea to go to the school and check out the yearbooks to find the boy’s name. They head to the high school.

As the people gather Lunch Audrey and Sam are also given food. People speak about Nathan as Jesus, thinking him a great man. Sam starts to talk about how he’s not really the son of God or he would be wearing sandals, where are his disciples. She thinks she might get through to them. They look at her puzzled. She turns to Audrey and says, “I tried.”

Dwight and Duke are at the school looking at the yearbook. They find the kid, Harold Danvers. From the school computer they get his address and head out to go there.

Nathan gathers everyone around and begins to heal people again. He heals a few people as the others talk amongst themselves.

Audrey gets a call from Dwight and Duke, they know where the boy is and they’re headed there now if you could get Nathan to the address they sent her they could end all this.

The people start to question if Nathan’s really Jesus, “he’s not wearing sandals, and where are his twelve disciples?” People start to get angry declaring that he is a fraud. “Crucify him!” They start to yell.

Act IV

As the people shout crucify him Sam says, “oops”. Nathan assures them he is Jesus. They insist on crucifying him. Audrey anxious says, “No, don’t. There’s a boy that needs to be healed. If he can heal him then he’ll prove he is the Christ.” Nathan goes to her and says, I will heal this boy, take me to him. The people try to stop him by holding him back but they are unable to as Audrey, Nathan, Sam, and James get him free from the crowd and into a car. Audrey and James drive him out of there. Sam, unable to get in tells them to go.

The people are angry and one man encourages the people to crucify him. Sam tries to talk them out of it telling them that God loves every man, he doesn’t deserve it. They ignore her and lead by this man they gather weapons from the station to get Nathan back and crucify him. Sam calls Audrey.

Audrey picks up the phone in the car. Sam tells them to hurry others are following with guns.

Dwight and Duke find the boy’s house, Duke recognizes the boy’s bike –it’s him.

Sam walks back to the church and sees that they begin to build a crucifix on the front lawn.

Duke and Dwight talk to the kid, telling him that he’s responsible for making Nathan think he’s Jesus as well as his parents believe that Nathan is Jesus. The boy is stunned and whines that he didn’t mean to trying to get away. Dwight pulls him back telling him to man up and accept what’s happened and help them. He, trembling afraid of Dwight agrees.

Audrey gets there with Nathan, they’re going to cure the boy and he’s okay with it. Nathan puts his hand on the boy as Audrey and Dwight talk about how this might actually make everything permanent, but they’re hoping not.

As the men get into their trucks with guns Nathan has his hands on the boy. He heals him and everyone is not sure what they’re doing or how they got there. Sam is relieved and tells them it was all a scare and they can go back inside now putting their guns away. They agree to do as she says.

Nathan realizes that he’s not Jesus and asks Audrey what happened. She says she’ll tell him later. Dwight talks to the kid, telling him to keep Nathan’s ability a secret because he knows what could happen if it got out. James with him agrees with Dwight, saying he’ll also keep it a secret when the boy recognizes him from the Gull who was cured first the boy agrees to keep it a secret.

Back at the Gull Duke, Audrey, Nathan, Sam and Dwight are there drinking. Nathan is stunned that he really thought he was Jesus. James comes up asking to join them, “Sure yeah,” Dwight says grateful for his help. Duke gets him a chair. “You’re part of the group now.” Nathan says. Audrey nods as she holds Nathan’s hand under the table. Dwight says, “I could use your help in the future, you were good in a crisis, and have a lot of know-how.” James nods, “whatever I can do.” Dwight says, “can you be on call 24 7”. James nods. Then Vince and Dave come back with news, the people believe Nathan’s ability to cure others was because of the trouble as Audrey thought would happen. But while Nathan has cured some people others he temporarily cured still have their trouble. Audrey sigh, “We still don’t know how this thing works. He couldn’t cure the invisible woman either.” Sam suggests that the troubled person may need to be in a full state of trouble for it to heal all of it. Vince and Dave look at their list of people and troubles and asks how she knew that was a correlation. She says, “That’s why Jesus needed to be fully human to heal our curse to cure all of us.” Nathan smiles saying “I got to admit I was a pretty good Jesus.” Duke’s annoyed. Sam interrupts saying, “you weren’t Jesus you were your perception of what Jesus was and you really need some Sunday school. The Kindergarten class would be helpful. It was really pathetic.” Duke smiles as Nathan looks around uncomfortable hoping the others will agree with him, but everyone agrees with Sam and slowly they start to laugh.

S4 E4 “First Impressions”

S4 E4 “First Impressions” Dwight is worried when a new Reverend for the Good Shepard Church comes into town. As the town gets angrier than usual, Audrey is distracted when she runs into James.

Previously on Haven;

The small town of Haven Maine is home to people with troubles, supernatural abilities that they can not control. Former FBI Agent, Audrey Parker turned Detective, and her partner Nathan Warnous help the troubled and save the town from the fallout of these abilities. And in their three years working together they have fallen in love, but things are complicated...

Reverend Driscoll declared war against the troubled, riling up the church congregation to kill troubled people for him. Yet to protect a teenage girl, who the Rev. was going to kill, Audrey killed the Rev. instead. (S2 E10 of the Original Show on Syfy)

Dwight, the new Police chief belonged to a group called the guard, a group of troubled people who protect those who are troubled. Dwight's trouble is that he's a bullet magnet. (S2 Original)

Audrey and Nathan have a son, James, who was born in the 1960s after Nathan, caught in a time-travel trouble, ended up with Sarah, who Audrey was in 1960s Haven (S3E9 Original). James was tragically killed in the 80s so Lucy, who Audrey was in the 80s left him in the supernatural place called "the barn" to heal. But when the barn returned a few months ago, he was stabbed by his serial killer wife. Agent Howard, the keeper of the barn, said it was where he belonged and revealed to Audrey, she could stop the troubles if she killed someone she loved. (S3E13 Original) Audrey wasn't sure what to do but knew she had to kill Nathan, so she shot him in the head. But then Nathan rose from the dead and can now cure people of their troubles...But he still has his trouble, he still can't feel (which he inherited from his father). And he doesn’t remember his life with Audrey or his love for her. He only remembers up through college. Audrey wishes he would remember her, remember how much they cared for each other. (S3E13 Rewrites) And she has a bad feeling, something very bad is coming. This is confirmed when someone is murdered, with a fan mark on her body. Audrey knows that symbol, it's from a past life, and it terrifies her.
Teaser

In front of the police station, Nathan is flirting with some attractive women. He brags about how he's a detective on the force. Audrey sighed, not pleased. But she passes by him on her way inside.
Audrey enters the chief’s office. She was summoned. In the chief’s office, Dwight tells Audrey that a new Reverend is coming for the Good Shepard Church and the guard is worried, he’s worried. The Reverend had the most power in this town and used it against the troubled. Vince and Dave can’t seem to find any information on him. “Really that’s not like them?” Audrey says, “They couldn’t blackmail any of the congregation.” “The church is being really tight-lipped about it,” Dwight says. “Check it out for me.” She reminds him she killed Reverend Driscoll. Dwight says, "that makes it more important for you to go and play nice." She objects saying she should take the trouble cases. He tells her to go, the guard wants to check this Sam Lewis out. “It is Sunday so go to the service and be nice. Let me know if he’s a threat.” Audrey comments, “If I’m going to go, I’m getting real coffee on the way.”

A woman is upset her husband is making him late to church again, it’s the Reverend’s first day they don’t want to be late. They bicker, and the china sitting in the cabinet inexplicably rattles.

Audrey walks up to Joe’s coffee and sees James, her son. He is serving coffee. Surprised to see him she calls him by name. He asks her if she knows him--he doesn’t remember her or his life, and he wants to know who he is. Audrey pauses unsure what to say. She'll sound crazy if she tells a man who looks around the same age as her that she's his mother.  And it will be even worst to tell him she left when he was a baby, then he was murdered mysteriously over 20 years ago, and killed again just a few months ago by his serial killer wife and is somehow back...so instead she says, “I knew your mother.” When his boss tells him to get back to work, he asks her to come back after the lunch rush. She agrees. She stares at him as he goes. Then her phone rings, Nathan is waiting for her.

Audrey and Nathan drive up to the church. They get out of the car both dreading going inside. They walk into the service. People stare at them upset. A tall young woman with a feminine muscular build and silver blond hair welcomes them by name. The same woman goes up to the pulpit and begins introductions, thanking everyone for being there. Sam, the new Reverend is a woman.

Act I

As Sam preaches her first Sermon starting with, “There was a great man in the eyes of God who took up violence in God’s name. He knew the word of God, the Torah, and people were corrupting it. So he pulled these people from their houses and stoned them.” This makes Audrey nervous. She's worried that Sam will incite the townspeople to take up violence against the trouble like Rev. Driscoll did. Sam continues, “Then this man met Jesus on the road to Damascus. He stopped killing. Instead, he preached. He preached words of community. That is what we know him best for. That’s when he became a great man of God. This was Paul’s journey. In his letter to the Romans, a city of pagans, he addresses them as a friend. I am going to read Romans Chapter 1:8-15.

Dwight is called to a crime scene where there’s another murder, the death of another person, with the fan mark on his body. Officer Stan asks if he should call Audrey. Dwight says, she can wait, this isn’t going anywhere and tells them to process the scene saying, “We need to find a connection between these victims.”
Back at the Church Sam ends her Sermon, saying; “Paul was a murderer of Christians, of humans, all of which are made in the image of God. Yet he was forgiven. And God used Paul to share his message of love. None of us come to God perfect, without any regrets. I certainly don't. But the good news of the Gospel is with God we can all be forgiven. We can serve God like Paul did by being in community, talking with people, caring for them. We can do this strengthened by the Holy Spirit. Let it fill you, listen to the Spirit, pray without ceasing, as Paul did. I will, knowing like Paul, we are obligated to the Greek as well as the barbarian. Obliged to those who are normal as well as those who are troubled.”

Sitting in a pew Nathan, who is normally very emotionless, is crying tears of joy. The room is still. Some people nod, tears stream down their cheeks, some are angry. It makes Audrey uncomfortable. Sam announces the next hymn, Amazing Grace. They begin to sing “Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound.” The tears of the congregation continue.

Afterward, outside the church Audrey asks Nathan to keep an eye out as she stands in the line to talk to Sam. Nathan walks around. Audrey witnesses Sam’s interactions with the parishioners. One of the parishioners is grateful she came, saying “that was wonderful. Thank you for your persistence in begging us to hire you”. Sam chuckles tears in her eyes, “you’re welcome.” Some of the parishioners are extremely pleased feeling guilty for their actions. She gives them an immense amount of grace. To the side some parishioners are not happy, they argue. Led by the woman who was almost late, the angry group goes to the Reverend. She yells at the Reverend about how inappropriate that was, the troubled are God forsaken and don’t deserve God. Sam confronts her, “None of us deserve him that's what's so wonderful about God.” The woman argues, “you can’t let them in here.” The woman says pointing to Audrey and Nathan. Audrey places her hand on her gun, preparing herself. “They killed Reverend Driscoll?” A man shouts. Sam interrupts, “Reverend Driscoll was not a perfect man, he lost his way, forgot he was bound by the law just like everyone here.” As Sam speaks people listen, “God is God of all, since there is only one God, and anyone who comes to God or this church is welcomed with their faith.” The group upset stands angrily. Sam looks to them with compassion, “You too are loved. I encourage you to mingle with those here and praise God’s forgiving love together.” Some of them leave, but the angry woman keeps her eye on the Reverend. Her husband comes over and tries to get her to come. Someone utters under their breath, “that’s what happens with a woman Reverend.” The wife pulls her hand from her husband angry and storms off. To the side, they share bitter words.

Nathan continues to walk around flirting with girls, who say they always thought he was cute, “but Reverend Driscoll wouldn't have it" Audrey sighs annoyed as she waits in the greeting line to talk to Sam.

Duke at his Resturant, the Gull by the docks, overlooks things and notices there are a lot of cancelations for that night. The hostess explains there’s a big thing going on at the church apparently it’s going to be good. Duke’s disappointed saying the place will be empty. The hostess asks if they should just close, but he says, “no leave it open – just in case.”

At the Church, Nathan goes into the car with the pretty girls and Audrey says, “so much for having my back.” Just then Audrey makes her way to the head of the greeting line. Audrey complements Sam on the message. Sam thanks Audrey, by name, and offers her assistance if she can ever help with things. Audrey, taken back by this forwardness, asks Sam how she knew about the troubles. Sam’s explains, “My father grew up in Haven. Told me stories so I would never come back, but they’re my people, and I couldn’t leave them without a Shepherd, so when I heard about the death of Reverend Driscoll, I begged them to hire me. It took a while but…” Sam leans in and whispers, “No one else wanted the job. I wonder why.” Audrey chuckles. She knows it's because the town has too many deaths in a small town in Maine. Just then the woman who made the fuss, her husband punches another man. Sam goes to break it up, and they turn on her. She’s knocked down.

Act II

Audrey and Sam break up the fight. Sam has a gash by her eye. A church member who is a paramedic offers to clean it.

Inside the church, the paramedic patches Sam up. Audrey sits by her telling her, “she appreciates what she’s trying to do, but she has made enemies.” “I’m not here to make friends.” She says, “Just speak Truth.” “I’m going to put an officer on you,” Audrey says. Sam refuses. “No, if you haven’t noticed they don’t like cops. It’ll make me unapproachable.” Audrey insists, “You’re not safe.” “It doesn’t matter,” Sam says. But Audrey doesn’t feel comfortable leaving her, she sighs, “okay, let me make a call.” She goes to call Duke and asks him to watch her saying a beautiful newcomer, a young woman is in danger and needs his protection. Duke agrees--he doesn’t have anything better to do.

Audrey comes back to Sam, “I asked Duke Crocker to come by and check on you.” “Shadow me, you mean?” Sam says. Audrey confirms this and Sam says, “That will do, thank you.”  Audrey continues saying, “You could save him,” adding, “you know from hell.” Sam turns to her, “I don’t save people,” Sam says. Audrey's shocked, “What?” Sam nods, “I teach people that if we depend on God’s guidance we can save the world, isn’t that what you do, save the world every time you speak with a troubled person about their trouble.” Taken back Audrey nods, “Yeah,” she says. Sam continues, “Well if you ever need an ear, I’m here.” Audrey is impressed and thanks her.  She sits in the pew and Sam sits beside her.
Meanwhile at the police station the phone rings. Dwight sends Stan out on a domestic disturbance call.

Duke walks up to the church. He arrives and sees Audrey and Sam are talking, “Then I found out he was my son and Nathan’s son.” Duke enters, the women stop talking. Duke interrupts, “So, I’m here. Where do you need me?” He sees Sam and smiles, “Oh I do hope you’re the pretty woman I’m here to protect.” He smiles at her. She smiles back and says, “You can call me Sam.” An older woman comes up to Sam calls her “Reverend Lewis” Duke shocked says, “Reverend?” questioning it. She’s too hot to be a Reverend. Sam says “Yes. I’m the New Reverend. Sam Lewis.” and she looks to the other woman. Duke looks at Audrey, annoyed. Audrey smirks--yes she tricked him, but it wasn't exactly a lie. The older woman continues, asking Sam if she can help with the heavier boxes. Sam agrees and offers Duke’s services. Audrey smiling gleefully thanks him. He reluctantly follows Sam.

On her way back to the station Audrey’s on the phone with Dwight, who is at the police station. Audrey tells him that Sam is alright, I think the guard will like her. Dwight is surprised it’s a she. Audrey feeling vulnerable says, “I shared way too much with her. I think she can make anyone do anything.” Dwight is worried about Audrey asks if she’s alright. “Yeah.” She says, “Yeah um. She’s actually pulling for everyone to get along.” Dwight’s happy about that, says he’ll let Vince know it’s a she. “Maybe that’s why they couldn’t get information on her.” Audrey tells Dwight, “there’s something else...James is in town.” Dwight is speechless. Audrey asks for the rest of the day off. Dwight gives it to her gladly.

In the church Duke and Sam actually get along pretty well as they set up tables. He thinks she’s tough for how much a beating she took when he sees the cut on her face. She shares stories about backpacking through Europe and being imprisoned in China.

Vince and Dave, two older men/bickering brothers are also checking up on the Reverend, and they’ve discovered that she was imprisoned in China, there she was able to cast out evil spirits and apparently worked miracles and made a miraculous escape. Dave chuckles saying we could certainly use some of that here. They are pleased with her. They want to do an expose on her.

Just then Audrey enters the Harold, nervous about talking to James. They are surprised he’s in town. But she’s more nervous. She asks the guys for advice.

The phones are ringing like crazy at the police station. People are angry. It’s a bunch of domestic dispute calls. Dwight knows a trouble has to be involved and asks to get Nathan in there. He doesn’t want to bother Audrey.

Nathan sits in the Haven country club with the church girls having brunch. He’s bored.

At Joe’s coffee, Audrey approaches James, it’s awkward. She orders a coffee from the waitress. She doesn’t know what to say to James. He breaks the silence; “I’m sorry if I don’t remember you, I woke up one morning and I couldn’t remember my life. The doctors insist I was in an accident.” Like a concerned mother, Audrey asks, “What happened?”. He says, “I don’t know, but there was a gash in my side when I was found.” As the coffee comes, Audrey asks, “So how did you end up in Haven?” When James says, his boss recommended it Audrey questions. He has a boss? James explains he worked on website design, “but I don’t know how to do it now so…” As she takes the coffee to her lips, she asks if he was ever married “No.” He says. Audrey pulls down the coffee, it’s too hot to drink. When Audrey asks if she can meet his boss, James says, “Sure, he’s coming this afternoon.” Audrey's so surprised she spills her coffee all over his hand. But though it's scalding, he doesn’t feel it. “You can’t feel pain?” she says. “No,” he says, “after the accident I couldn’t feel anything. They say it will never come back, but I’m getting used to-.” Just then agent Howard shows up, and James introduces him as his boss, “Stephen, Stephen King from Jersey.” It's Audrey's Agent Howard the keeper of the magical place called "the barn."

Act III

In the coffee shop, Audrey stares at James’ boss--a man she knows under a different name when a physical fight breaks out at the register. James goes over to help. When James is gone, Audrey says to the man she knows as Howard, “What are you doing?” He responds, “Isn’t this what you wanted, him to have a life.” “Yes,” Audrey argues, “but you said that the barn was his home.” He nods and offers a caveat, “until you shot Nathan, your sacrifice changed everything.” Audrey questions demanding to know, “What did you do to Nathan? Will he ever remember? How does he cure people?” Howard calmly replies, “I cannot give you all the answers, any more than I could tell you that Nathan would rise, you needed to believe he would die, be willing to lose him for things to work. This path is a process, not a destination.” James then gets back, “Sorry.” James apologizes for being gone, “I’ve been breaking up fights all afternoon.” Audrey questions, “All day?” She's concerned. “Ever since church got out?” James responds. Agent Howard/Stephen King knows what this means. He turns to Audrey, “You have to work?” Audrey sighs disappointed, “We’ll talk later.” She promises James. “Yeah, no problem.” He says very politely, "I'm just glad someone knows something."

On her way from Joes she looks to her phone and notices reports that fights have broken out all over town. She walks into the police station.

At the station, Nathan is there. Nathan is on his way out. He suspects the trouble belongs to the woman who yelled at Sam. That started the fighting. Audrey agrees and heads out with Nathan.

At the woman’s house. Audrey and Nathan find the woman on the ground, dying. She admits she was killed by her husband. She dies. Audrey calls it in, thinking that means it’s over.

Back at the station, the fighting continues. Cops pull in people, and jail cells are full of angry people. The phones continue to ring. Dwight says it’s not the woman since the fighting is continuing and getting worse.

Audrey and Nathan think about that morning and wonder if the husband might be the one troubled. Nathan “I’ll get Stan to pull his financials.” Nathan pulls out his phone. Audrey nods, “I’m glad to see you’re a cop again.” “What was I before?” He questions holding back on dialing. Audrey comments, “A horny teenager.” Nathan argues, “They were just nice to me. I was just being nice back.” Nathan says, he dials and puts the phone to his ear. Audrey, unconvinced, walks away as they head out.

At the Good Shepard Church, the older woman and her helpers leave to get ready for the party that night. Duke remains with Sam who. Together they get out trash cans. Duke helps.

Outside the church, angry people start to approach with guns. They start shooting things up.

Inside the main room, the food gets shot up. Duke and Sam take cover in her office. When Duke pulls out a gun to shoot back Sam won’t let him shoot anyone. Duke reluctantly agrees and calls Audrey. Audrey explains it’s an anger trouble. Over the phone, Sam says she has an idea.

Act IV

Dwight shaking his head utters. “I don’t like this” as they put him in a bulletproof suit. He’s not happy but agrees, “let’s get this over with.” They place a helmet over his head. "Bullet proof glass," Nathan says reassuring him.

Nathan and Audrey take Dwight out on the back of his truck. They pull up behind the church. The group with guns surrounds the church. In park, Audrey reeves the engine. The group turns to them making a space. Audrey puts the truck in drive and reves the engine. The space widens just enough for her as the crowd runs to the sides. Audrey pulls up onto the church lawn. The people with guns aim and fire at the truck. With Dwight out by the church all the bullets hit him, or rather the suit. As the gunman look around confused Duke comes out holding Sam in his arms, blood all over her. The people with guns calm down and pull their guns down.
Audrey and Nathan race out of the truck and find the man who killed his wife. He’s crying. Nathan goes to him to cure him, but suddenly everyone is mad at Nathan. All the people pull their guns back up. They aim at Nathan. And Dwight’s bulletproof glass in the helmet he wears is cracking. He hears the chocking of guns and says, “oh no.” Suddenly someone cries out, “Stop!” to the man who killed his wife. He turns to his surprise its Sam, she’s alive and standing beside him. “You’re troubled Zachary, your anger killed your wife. That doesn’t make you any less to God. God still loves you.” He cries and falls to his knees. She places her hand on his head. The people holding guns slowly walk up to Sam and put the guns down at her feet. Nathan and Dwight are safe.

As Sam stands by the church wishing the last of the people goodbye Duke walks up to her and comments, “what kind of Reverend has a bag of fake blood in her desk drawer?” “A Haven Reverend,” she says. Duke nods. Sam sighs, “I should let the others know there won’t be a party tonight.” “Don’t,” Duke says stopping her. “You can have it at the Gull.” “You’re sure?” Sam asks. “Who doesn’t like a party?” Duke says. Sam leans towards him, “Maybe you should come to one of my services.” “Don’t push it,” Duke says. She laughs, “thank you.” She says. Duke nods.

Zachery thanks Nathan for curing him and apologizes. Nathan nods. Dwight makes sure that he won’t tell anyone as he pulls him away in cuffs (for killing his wife, something Zachery knows he has to pay for). Nathan walks away saddened. Audrey can tell Nathan’s upset. She talks to him. He’s frustrated he can’t cure himself. Audrey tells him to give himself time.

Vince and Dave bicker about spying on James. They agree to simply head over to the coffee shop and see if he’s there. James is there closing. He apologizes saying everyone’s at the party at the Gull. They invite James to join them as they’re on their way. James thanks them and says, “I think I will.” Implying he wasn’t going to go originally.

At the party as everyone gathers celebrating the Reverend's arrival Nathan sees James, he goes to him and presses his hands against his cheeks saying James, James it’s you. James in his effort to get away from him hits his head on a post in the Gull, it hurts, and he exclaims it. Nathan asks him if he’s okay. James sensing his head hurts realizes he can feel and shouts that he reaches out ecstatic to feel the table, chairs, and other people. He turns to Nathan and says, “You cured me. You cured my trouble.” Suddenly the crowd turns to Nathan. They all want to be cured too, they start to draw in on them crushing them...

S4 E3 “Being Seen”

S4 E3 Audrey visits the other Audrey (RO) in hopes that she’ll help figure out what made Nathan forget who he is. Meanwhile Nathan helps Dwight, with the mystery of a missing woman.

Previously on Haven: When Nathan went back to 1955 he met Sarah, one of Audrey’s previous personalities. Nathan’s interactions with her produced a son, James. Audrey and Nathan left James in the barn in 2012. Audrey shot Nathan, the man she loves, in the head yet he healed and now he’s able to heal the troubles but he doesn’t remember who he is. Nathan is not always able to heal people. He was unable to cure a man who turned into a mountain lion. Audrey just knows something bad is coming. A woman has been killed with a mysterious mark on her body (a fan symbol), something Audrey has seen before but she can't place where as if it's from a memory she can't access. Teaser
A mom, with a baby in the cart, and a three year old child by her side checks out at a grocery store. She takes her cart to the car and loads the car. As she takes the baby out of the cart a woman looks at her only to the baby and she’s annoyed. She places the cart in the cart drop off, running into another women’s cart. The woman jumps. The mom says sorry, quietly and leaves. The woman looks back and sees no one.

At Nathan's place Nathan and Audrey argue. It’s been awhile and Nathan still doesn’t remember who he is. Audrey wants him to try. He’s frustrated wants answers about what happened to him, she simply tells him he was shot. He tells her to leave him alone, he can’t remember and he can’t help. He’s given up. Audrey leaves.
Audrey goes to the police station there she runs into Willow who is creating a database for all the troubled people. She thanks her again. She tells Dwight Nathan’s status. He’s there in the chief's office helping out she thanks him for lending a hand and asks him to be chief, since Nathan is supposed to be chief and Dwight has a relationship with the guard. He reminds her about how he’s a bullet magnet. She hands him a Taser. When she leaves he asks her where she’s going. She says “to see the other Audrey Parker. She must have found the barn, maybe she’s remembered something about it or knows something about the mark.” Dwight agrees, tells her to take Stan. She tells him she’s already asked Duke, since he found her. Dwight nods in approval.

Act I
On the drive Duke and Audrey talk about what’s going to happen. All the real Audrey knows about is that they’re going to be in town and wanted to say hello. They decide to play it casual.

Audrey goes to Audrey’s, the real one (RO). She opens the door and welcomes them. Duke asks her how she is and she says okay thanking him again for finding her.

Inside RO’s place Brad, Duke, and Audrey sit. Audrey, from Haven, asks her if she remembers anything. “No”, she says, “nothing from my stay in Haven except you being really nice to me and Brad coming”. Then Brad comments on her name being the same asking for her last name. Duke says “Ripley”. “Oh, for a minute I thought you were going to say Parker, that’s one of the reasons I was in Haven so long, to find out who was impersonating me. So they tell me.” RO says. Duke asks “Did they ever find her, the woman impersonating you?” She shakes her head, “No, but I’m Audrey Rogers now.” Audrey and Duke congratulate her on getting married. Duke passes Audrey a look and she confirms – he should get Brad out of the room so she can talk with RO privately. Duke asks to use the restroom and to get Brad out of the room so Audrey can talk to RO alone. “If you want to tell me something without Brad here?” Audrey shakes her head, “No, Brad and I don’t have any secrets, I really don’t remember anything.” RO turns to the kitchen awkward and offers Audrey something to drink.

At the police station, someone asks for the chief, specifically wants the chief to come over to their house because something strange is going on. Dwight takes the call and goes over to the man’s house, but the man had wanted Nathan they grew up together in grade school. Dwight tells him Nathan’s not available, he’s recovering from an injury but he’ll help him. The man explains the situation and yells at the crying baby, as they are talking the baby disappears. Dwight then wonders if this could be his trouble – making those he’s upset with disappear he takes him into the police station and asks Stan to take the kids. The man is saddened insisting he didn’t do anything.

Audrey had asked Dave and Vince to check up on Nathan, which they fight about before they have him for lunch at the newspaper. However the lunch is really a ploy; with newspaper clippings Vince and Dave try to help him remember. Nathan is annoyed that all people want from him is to remember who he is and heal the troubled but he doesn’t know how or what he can do.

At the police station in the interrogation room Dwight asks the man if he had a fight with his wife recently. Yes, he says, they’ve had money problems and with four kids it’s hard. But I didn’t do anything he says thinking they’re thinking he killed or abused her.

Nathan wanting to escape from Vince and Dave makes his way out of the Harold’s restroom window and goes to the police station where the friend from grade school now sitting outside the interrogation room in cuffs asks for his help. But Nathan doesn’t remember him.

Act II
In the police station the man says they were friends in grade school until the troubles started the last time, and he’s sorry he didn’t stay his friend things were…strange he says in great detail reminding Nathan what happened then, the story of how he broke his arm sledding and kept on going. Nathan remembers. Nathan remembers the man defended him in middle school. The man says he always wanted to be nicer and he’s ashamed he didn’t do more. Dwight’s encouraged that Nathan remembers so he lets them talk as he checks on the man’s alibi.

At Audrey’s, the real one, Duke, Brad, and the Audrey’s are chatting about Audrey’s time in Haven (leaving out any of the troubles) they laugh and Brad says “that sounds like Audrey”. Then the real Audrey asks “you’re not here to talk about this?’ The fake Audrey says, “No we’re not.” First Audrey, the fake one, asks her about the mark on the body, wondering if she’s ever seen anything like this before in any previous cases. She looks at it and says no, but I can check for you. She still works for the FBI. She questions if this is the only reason they came. Duke confesses, “No”. Audrey, the fake one says a man has lost his memories in the same place they found her and they’re wondering if the two cases are related.

Brad asks Audrey not to press because most likely something traumatic happened and she shouldn’t remember. Audrey, the real one, holds him back saying it’s my choice I want to help. Brad is still concerned but he backs down. Audrey, the real one asks how she can help. Audrey suggests regression therapy.

Dwight at the police station has checked up on the wife, using her credit card information he finds she was at the store after her husband talked to her on the phone so it’s not his trouble. He wasn’t anywhere near her since then. He was on a conference call with work so he couldn’t have done it. They send him home with his kids. Nathan goes with him.

Vince and Dave having checked on Nathan in the bathroom and realizing he’s gone say “they really need to get that window sealed”.

Nathan is at the house where the husband is with his kids. Nathan questions him to see if it’s a trouble asking if anything traumatic has happened in his wife’s life recently. He learns her brother just died so this being her trouble is defiantly a huge possibility. As Nathan and the man are talking they lose the three year old as well. They’re afraid the other children will start to disappear. They frantically start looking.

Act III
The real Audrey, Audrey Rogers, gets comfortable on the bed as Brad watches. As the Audrey from Haven asks for quiet.  Audrey gets into the regression telling Mrs. Rogers that she’s in a white room. It immediately takes her to the inside of a barn. Audrey asks her what she sees. Audrey, the real one remembers a man. Audrey, the fake one asks if this man is African American when Audrey says no, he was white with brown hair but I can’t make out his face she says and what the audience sees is a blurry photo. He said, “You’ve never come this close before.” Then when he came up close he said, “You’re not her.” He was disappointed like he wasn’t expecting me. The scene plays out in her memory. “You shouldn’t be here” he tries to get her out. She wouldn’t leave until she had her questions answered. Then “I” she pauses. It gets back to Audrey, the real one, on her bed. “I don’t remember what happened.” Audrey, the fake one says, what’s the next thing you remember? I think I left and then. She then starts to panic. Brad gets upset. Audrey, the fake one, pulls her out of regression therapy.

In Haven, in the house Nathan and the father, as they are searching for the three year old, in the backyard as well as the kitchen watch as the diner starts cooking bowls floating on their own. Nathan figures out that the man’s wife is invisible and checks the bedrooms, the children were simply put down for their naps. They try to communicate with the woman but they can’t seem to. She continues to make dinner. Suddenly the dishes crash – something is wrong but they don’t know what. Nathan realizes they need Audrey, maybe she’ll be able to see her with her immunity. They call Audrey.

In Boston, Audrey, the fake one, gets a text. She tells Brad and Audrey RO, “we don’t want to put her in danger, we’ll have to find another way to get answers.” Duke is about to object when she shows him the text, they need to get back to Haven, she explains.

At the house in Haven, the husband feels helpless as they continue to try and talk to the wife.

Act IV
At night Audrey arrives at the woman’s house and finds the woman is on the ground disappearing completely. Audrey can see her the woman’s leg goes right through Nathan as he explains where she was when she dropped the dish. Audrey tells Nathan to stand off her and is able to get the woman to talk to her after she explains how she got in her house. The woman had no idea her husband was calling her.

Audrey finds out holding the child on the way back from the store, which was the last time someone spoke to her, she felt invisible when a women looked at the baby instead of her. Audrey realizes that’s her problem. Audrey tries to help Nathan so he can cure her but he can’t see or touch her to do it. Instead Audrey talks to her and gets her to stop feeling invisible by translating for the husband and children’s words, it works a little enough for Nathan to touch her, but it doesn’t make her completely visible, they don’t understand why. Audrey continues to translate for the husband, the women then feels like she’s seen again. And the husband promises never to treat her like she’s invisible again not at all scared by her trouble.

Nathan didn’t cure that women again he’s not sure he can cure everyone but he feels like himself again he was a good cop and solved the case, finding the children in their beds. Dwight’s glad he’s back but he still doesn’t remember Audrey, which Audrey is saddened by.

When Audrey and Duke get back to the Gull Duke says, “Maybe it’s okay if he doesn’t remember. What’s Nathan’s going to say when he remembers you shot him?” She doesn’t say anything but looks discouraged. Duke says “you could always leave him for someone better”. She turns to him and smirks, saying “Duke” an apologetic look in her eyes. She has to turn him down. He nods, “I know I’m crushed but I know.” Then Duke says, “If you love him you have to love the Nathan that he is now, isn’t that what love is?” She asks him, “When did you get so smart?”.  He says, “I’ve always been this way you just never noticed.”

In a pow wow Dave and Vince know It’s a problem that Nathan couldn’t cure her because he’s not immune to the troubles. It was impossible, we still don’t know how this works, Vince says.

A taxi pulls up to the edge of Haven. A man steps out with a duffle bag. It’s James, Nathan and Audrey’s son.
