S5 E11 – “Witch
Hunting”
– As James, Dwight, Daniel, Duke, and Sam try to convince the townspeople to
stop their witch hunt in the forest. Audrey and Nathan do their own witch hunt
with the help of Vince and Dave’s tech skills.
Previously on
Haven/Haven Rewrites;
Haven is a town where people have supernatural abilities, which the detectives (Daniel, Audrey, James, Nathan, and Dwight) who deal with them call troubles. These trouble cause death and chaos.
Detective Audrey Parker is linked to these troubles for they were caused by her mother Mavis, a witch who hundreds of years ago cursed people in Haven with their troubles. Audrey is immune and as such helps the people of Haven and somehow she'll save them. Her mother is back but now Haven has a way to cure the troubles. After Audrey, shot Nathan, her true love and police partner, he rose from the dead with the ability to cure the troubles.

Last time on Haven, the whole town learned that Mavis, with a new coven of witches are troubling people that were not troubled before like the Driscals. People are afraid.
The town's bad boy (Duke) married to the town Reverend (Sam) thought they were
pregnant and since Duke’s smuggling again Sam won’t have a child with him on
purpose – but it turned out they weren’t pregnant. Duke is disappointed.
Zara has been exposed as the fourth
witch. So Audrey, Nathan, James, Daniel, and Dwight, on her trail to stop the witches once and for all.

INT. ZARA’S HOUSE - DAY
Guns drawn James and Audrey burst into a house
with cops with a battering ram.
Pictures of Zara in the house. It’s her house.
Audrey and James, in different rooms each call
out “clear”.
They meet back in a main room.
Audrey upset exclaims, “Zara isn’t here.”
James looks to her questioning her, “you didn’t
actually expect her to be here.”
Audrey stern says, “I was hoping she’d be cocky
enough.”
James talks about how “her assets are frozen,
even the hidden account in Switzerland she won’t get very far.”
It turns out Audrey and James are being filmed.
Zara watches the live feed of Audrey and James
at her place, from monitors in a;
INT. CAVE - DAY
Mavis, Kat, and Jeremy (the other three witches) are all there in the
cave as Mavis turns to Zara upset, “they found Switzerland.”
Zara turns to Mavis angry and yells, “You said
that Sam wouldn’t remember anything.”
Mavis says, “She shouldn’t have, if Willow had
done her job. You should have hid the account better.”
Kat reminds them, “We have bigger things to
worry about; Duke can get rid of entire families without actually killing
someone and our attempt to kill him with Mac’s trouble failed.”
Zara adds, “There’s more…Nathan is healing
people that can’t be touched by others, he’s ruining the best troubles.”
Jeremy says “I don’t get it, they hardly do
anything.”
Kat explains, “They’re the ones that are
visible keeping people afraid. Without fear, there’s no panic and no fun.”
Mavis nods in agreement.
Jeremy says, “They don’t have any more touch
troubles to cure on their list. The ones we’ve done should-”
Kat says, “according to the tapes they’re
getting more all the time.”
Individuals on video tape are coming in to talk
with Nathan, Daniel, Sam, and Dwight. In the office, the church, and
integration room. They are each talking about having a trouble. They are all
thanked for coming in and told they’ll be helped, given a time in the future
when they’ll meet with them to discuss options. Nathan heals some people who
are desperate.
INT. POLICE STATION – INTEROGATION
ROOM - DAY
In the interrogation room Dave, Vince, Nathan,
Sam, and Daniel report to Dwight.
Vince and Dave hand Dwight a list, “that’s just
this morning” Dave says.
“We’re getting new people coming in every day.”
Daniel adds.
Dwight asks, “Can you keep up healing three a
day?”
Nathan nods. “Yeah, and if there’s need to do a
few more I can.”
Dwight nods, “Good.”
Duke enters, “We have a
problem. A group of people are going out to hunt the witches in the forest.”
CAVE
In the cave Kat, Mavis, Zara, and Jeremy are
watching the feed.
Kat mutters, “They’re coming.” and smiles.
Jeremy annoyed says, “Three a day. We can’t trouble
three people a day.”
Zara cocking a gun says, “We need to kill him.”
Mavis shakes her head, “No, I have a better
idea.”
Act I
FOREST - DAY
Groups of people are tromping through the
forest with guns.
INT. POLICE STATION –
AUDREY AND NATHAN’S OFFICE - DAY
In Audrey and Nathan’s office with Nathan,
Dave, Vince, Sam, and Daniel there Dwight asks how Duke knows about the witch
hunt.
Duke reveals he got a voice message from
someone he didn’t even know. He plays it. Ben’s voice informs Duke about the
hunt they’re organizing saying, “I thought you would like to join us.”
Dwight flinches at the sound of Ben’s voice.
Nathan says, “You know him,” accusing Dwight of
keeping secrets. Dwight nods, “Yeah…he’s an informant of mine.”
Daniel standing with Nathan, in a disgruntled
stance and asks Dwight, “An informant? For what?”
Vince urges Dwight, “I thought we agreed we
wouldn’t keep any secrets anymore.”
“We did?” Dave asks aside.
Vince aside says, “It was implied.”
Dwight reveals, “For Abe and the church group,”
reveling who the informant was for.
Sam sighs, “They’re killing the troubled aren’t
they?”
Dwight’s face reveals the answer is yes.
Duke is pissed, “Abe is killing the troubled
and you didn’t tell me. He’s my brother.”
Sam puts her hand on Duke’s chest, “We’ll talk
to him. Right now we have to stop this witch hunt.”
Duke turns to Sam questioning her sanity, “We?”
Sam nods, “Yeah, they’re my people, I’m going.”
Daniel says, “We need Audrey and James.” Nathan
nods.
EXT. ZARA’S HOUSE - DAY
Audrey and James outside Zara’s house. Audrey
has a phone to her ear saying, “We’ll meet you. She hangs up and looks down at
a small spy camera.
James says, “It’s not transmitting anymore.”
Audrey sighs, here sigh leads to
EDGE OF FOREST - DAY
Audrey stands holding the small spy camera, “If
she put this in her own house, you can bet she put it in ours.” Dwight, Duke,
Sam, Nathan, Daniel, Vince, and Dave stand with Audrey and James. It’s revealed
they stand at the edge of the forest, foliage behind them.
Dwight’s annoyed as he takes the camera and
holds it, “They’re probably all over the station too.”
Audrey nods, James nods, “Probably, she spent 5000
dollars at electronics.com”
Vince says, “The Harold has a jammer.”
Dave offers to get them one saying, “Your
wireless internet will have to be wired.”
Daniel shakes his head, “I don’t think they’re
at the station. They would have known about Zara’s identity being revealed when
Sam did her hipno thingy.”
Sam shakes her head, “I never said anything.
When I realized it I went straight to the meeting.”
Duke asks, “Could we find out where the signal
is going?”
They all look to him. “The camera has to be
feeding an image somewhere, that’s probably where the witches really are.”
Daniel nods, “That’s good, we can keep people
clear of that area. Let them run around in circles.”
Duke’s confused, “We’re protecting the witches,
now.”
Daniel says, “Oh, I’m not worried about the
witches, but everyone else.”
Dwight nods and begins to give orders, “Vince
you and Dave help Audrey and Nathan with tracking the witches through the
cameras.”
INT. POLICE STATION –
NATHAN AND AUDREY’S OFFICE – DAY (FLASHFORWARD)
Audrey and Nathan are in their office at the
station messing with a laptop as they stand in front of the monitor. Vince and
Dave with them.
EDGE OF FOREST – DAY
(PRESENT)
Dwight at the edge of the forest says to
Audrey, Dave, Vince, and Nathan, “Try to keep what you’re doing from them.”
INT. POLICE STATION –
NATHAN AND AUDREY’S OFFICE – DAY (FLASHFORWARD)
In her office Audrey standing in front of a
laptop complains to Vince and Dave, “The thing just froze.”
Nathan comes over to try to help. He complains,
“I hate being stuck here.”
Audrey argues, “You can’t risk your life out
there Nathan.”
Nathan whines, “And they had to leave you to
babysit me.”
Audrey irritated says, “I’m trying to figure
out what Zara’s been up to and I really can’t see them again.” She holds her
head low.
EDGE OF FOREST - DAY
At the edge of the forest Dwight continues to
give orders to just Duke, Sam, James and Daniel, “The five of us will go into
the forest in two groups.” He turns to Duke and Sam, “Go east.”
FOREST GOING EAST - DAY
Sam and Duke are together walking through the
forest on their own. Dwight’s narration continues, “I’ve put you two together
because you repel the witches. Stay together.”
EDGE OF FOREST - DAY
At the edge of the forest as Duke and Sam head
out, Daniel asks, “What about us?” Dwight says, “You’ll go West. I saw the two
of you in at the Gull the other night.” Flashback to
INT. GULL – NIGHT
Daniel and James are sitting at a table, Daniel
slurs his words drunk, “You’re my grandson of course I love you.”
James also slurring his words says, “I love you
too grandpa. You’re the best friend I have in this town…Oh that’s depressing.”
He takes another swig of beer.
EDGE OF THE FOREST -
DAY
At the edge of the forest Dwight looks to
Daniel and James, “I’m kind of counting on you two having the love. Grandson to
Grandfather.”
Daniel looks to James. James nods. Daniel looks
to Dwight and nods, “Okay, let’s go.”
As James puts his gun over his shoulder he
says, “Why didn’t you go with Duke and Sam?” Daniel shakes his head at James
signaling that he shouldn’t ask that.
Dwight responds ready to head out, “Some of
these guys won’t listen to cops but they’ll listen to Sam.”
Dwight walks away heading out and Daniel turns
to James, “Love triangle.”
James sighs, “Oh.”
FOREST GOING EAST - DAY
In the forest alone Duke and Sam are walking
along. Duke takes a small silver gun out and hands it to her. “Take it” he
insists.
Sam grabs it from him gladly and cocks it.
Duke is surprised.
Seeing his surprise Sam says, “I’m loving but
not stupid, you have one too right?”
Duke reaches into the back of his pants and
pulls out a bigger gun. She looks ahead.
As they continue walking he turns to her, “Sam
about the baby.”
Sam shakes her head, “Duke.” She doesn’t want
to talk about it.
Duke looks back to her, “I saw how disappointed
you were.”
Sam avoids him walking ahead with her gun by
her side, “We have to look for people.”
Duke continues, “I was disappointed too. I’m
going to stop smuggling. I want to have a kid.”
Sam ignores him and points to a group of
people.
Duke nods.
FOREST WEST SIDE - DAY
Dwight Daniel and James collect guns from some
guys, “Thank you guys.” Daniel says.
Dwight says, “I’ll be sure not to mention this
to your mothers.” They guys walk away in shame.
James turns to Dwight, “Nice, using the
mother’s card.”
Dwight adds, “There mom’s would not approve if
they knew, jail would be preferable to going back home.”
FOREST EAST SIDE - DAY
As Sam urges a different group of people to
head back to town, “This is dangerous, don’t walk into it like this. You’re
smarter than that. If Duke and I could sneak up on you so could the witches. Go
home.”
The group nods ashamed.
As they group heads back Sam continues going
east Duke following Sam through the forest says, “Sam, I mean it I’m going to
stop smuggling”
Sam pressing aside branches as she walks
through the trees argues, “You didn’t when you said you did.”
Duke pleads, “I understand the risk I’m taking.
I wouldn’t do that with our child.”
Sam heads out away from him, “This really isn’t
the time to have this conversation.”
The sun begins to sets and darkness falls a
gunshot is heard and cackling. Sam looks up and says, “that’s Kat’s laugh.”
Sam starts to run towards the sound, Duke
exasperated says, “Sam” and runs after her.
Act II
Sam running stops seeing Kyle, who’s
accompanied by three other guys, in front of her. Duke comes up behind her.
“Was
that you, the shot?” Sam asks.
Kyle rubbing his shoulder says, “Something
touched me.”
Duke yells at them, “None of you should be
here.”
Sam argues, “There’s too many people in the woods,
you could have killed someone, or you could get killed Kyle and what good would
that do.”
Derek approaches with another group of three,
“We’re here to kill the witches.”
Duke argues, “You can’t kill the witches, we’ve
gone up against them. It’s not as simple as shooting at them.”
Kyle reports to Derek, “We saw them.” His
expression communicates they should be on guard.
Blurs flurry around them, accompanied by
cackles. It’s the witches. One of them touches Derek, a gray shadow between
Derek and her hand. The group of eight witch hunters, with Sam and Duke, hold
up their guns.
Sam says, “They’re toying with us.” Sam urges Kyle,
“We need to get out of the forest.”
Derek puts his face in Sam’s, “We’re here to
kill the witches.”
Duke looks to the men standing around, shaking
in their boots, “You think they’ll survive an attack.” Duke offers, “Let’s get
them out and we’ll come back here with you two.”
Sam glares at Duke annoyed. The chackling
continues, as the witches blurry figures run around them and the men shaking
hold up their guns.
Sam says, “If we survive the night.”
Kyle turns around and leads Derek back the way
they came. He’s ready to head back.
INT. POLICE STATION –
AUDREY AND NATHAN’S OFFICE - DAY
In Audrey and Nathan’s office. Vince and Dave argue.
Audrey annoyed says, “How much longer is this
going to take?”
Vince, next to Dave standing in front of the
lap top monitor says, “It will take as long as it takes.”
Dave adds, “It’s not like this is some TV show
where things happen quickly.”
Vince adds, “That’s so unrealistic.”
Dave looking at the monitor says, “this looks
promising.”
Audrey turns to Nathan, “you want to get
something to eat.”
Nathan nods, “anything to get out of here.”
They leave the office.
EXT CAVE - FOREST -
NIGHT
In the forest Audrey and Nathan, packs on their
hips, look out at the edge of a cave.
Audrey says, “The coordinates lead in there.”
Nathan looks through night binoculars.
Audrey pulls grenades from her pack.
Nathan and Audrey go up to the cave and throw
in the grenades, a large flash and a boom sounds.
FOREST – SOUTH SIDE - NIGHT
Kat, Mavis, Zara, and Jeremy see the cave light
up in the distance. They are in the trees above Kyle and Derek with Duke and
Sam.
Mavis thinks telepathically to Kat, Zara, and
Jeremy “back to the cave.”
INT. CAVE - NIGHT
Audrey and Nathan walk into a cave. Their
flashlights reveal cave paintings all over the walls.
The witches arrive at the entrance in a blur
and enter after them, Nathan and Audrey are trapped.
“Look what we have.” Kat says smiling.
Audrey and Nathan stand there calm.
Audrey says, “You didn’t think we actually came
alone.”
Daniel stands behind the witches at the mouth
of the cave with a large gun. “Honey I’m home.” He says and shoots the gun, a
large grenade flies out of it.
Mavis puts her hand up and the grenade explodes
right where Daniel stands.
He coughs as gas escapes from it.
James and Dwight coming from the side pull him
away. As they do Daniel watches the mouth of the cave disappear rock covers the
entrance as if there was no entrance there to begin with.
James cries out, “Mom! Dad!” Daniel passes out.
Dwight and James, disoriented fall down unconscious as well.
INT. CAVE - NIGHT
Inside the cave Audrey and Nathan know they’re
in trouble. Mavis, keeping her distance, with the swing of her hand throws
Nathan against a wall. She pulls up stalagmites from the ground trapping Audrey
preventing her from getting to him.
He lies on the ground unconscious, “If you hurt
him.” Audrey yells.
“You’ll what?” Kat asks head held high in
pride.
Mavis watching Audrey says, “Zara, Jeremy head
out the back, you can finally deal with Duke once and for all.”
Audrey afraid asks, “What are you going to do
to Duke?”
FOREST – EAST SIDE –
NIGHT/SUNRISE PEAKS THROUGH NIGHT
The night trails on as Sam and Duke with Derek
and Kyle’s groups are being taunted by Jeremy and Zara – they cackle around
them.
They make their way through the forest, “Remain
calm, and stay together.” Sam says from the front. As the first light of the morning peeks
through the sky, Kyle steps up behind Sam and says, “We should be out by now”
Sam nods, “My compass isn’t working.” Holding
her compass it references north as behind them. Kyle pulls out his and walks in
front of her and her compass changes, north is in front of her.
Sam steps up to Kyle, “It’s pointing to you.”
Kyle sighs, “No,” Kyle tries to pull his gun. “I
can’t get it out.” Kyle is focused on
his gun when behind them, the witches continue to cackle running around the
group.
“You’re troubled Kyle.” Sam says, “You need to
calm down.”
THE REAR OF THE GROUP -
DAWN
In the rear Duke, bumped from behind bumps into
Derek in front of him, a dark shadowy substance seeps from Derek’s arm into
Duke. Blackness fills Duke’s eyes. He grabs a knife from Derek’s vest and slashes
the man behind him across the chest. The man scream.
IN THE FRONT - DAWN
At the man’s
scream Sam runs to
THE REAR OF THE GROUP -
DAWN
Sam sees Duke standing over the slashed man,
bloody knife in hand. She’s confused
IN THE FRONT - DAWN
Kyle is still
working with his gun uttering, “it’s just stuck” in denial.
As Sam looks to Duke, turned away from the
group blood seeps into Duke’s skin and his eyes turn silver.
Derek pulls his gun standing between him and
the group.
Sam calls out, “Derek!” pleading with him not
to shoot.
Duke throws Derek against a tree towards the
front of the group.
Sam seeing cries out “Duke!” Duke turns back to
her.
Sam see Duke’s eyes, blood drips from them down
his cheeks.
The slashed man gets up frightened he runs.
The others run as well, one saying “I’m done
with this” dropping his gun.
Duke approaches Sam with the knife slashing at
the air, he tries to hold himself back but strains to do so.
Sam backs up towards Kyle, at the front.
Duke straining yells, “Run, run!”
Sam backs up more grabbing a disoriented Kyle,
still unaware of Duke, she gets him to see and run.
Derek gets up from the ground and Sam tells him
to run. Kyle is in between him and his gun. Derek, annoyed he can’t get to his
gun moves Kyle out of the way.
Sam yells to them to run. They all three run.
Duke holds back shaking with rage. He slashes
the knife at the air.
ON A HILL - DAWN
Dave with Vince up on a hill, through the scope
of a gun looks down to Duke. A shot rings out, over the morning forest.
Act III
Nathan’s blurred vision of Audrey becomes clear
as she says “Nathan, Nathan.”
INT. CAVE - DAY
In the cave Audrey stands over him. The light
of the morning streams into the cave.
Sam stands with Audrey, “Nathan, I need your
help.” Sam says.
Nathan asks, “The witches?” wondering where
they are.
Audrey says, “They ran.”
Sam interrupts, “But not before they messed with
Duke. He’s been affected by a trouble.”
Nathan nods shaking his head disoriented. He
walks zigzag as they head out.
In
the forest.
EXT. CAVE – FOREST -
DAY
Nathan approaches Dwight who watches Duke, he’s
strapped to a tree grunting and groaning. A bullet in his shoulder. Audrey
stands back from Nathan, still disoriented he puts his hands up to Duke and
heals him. Nathan gasps.
INT. CAVE - DAY
Nathan is in the cave. He stands with his hands
against his own cheeks.
Mavis stands where Audrey would have and Kat
where Sam was.
Nathan looks to Mavis and sees Audrey, “Now we
can begin.” She says and digs a knife into Nathan’s side. He groans in pain,
surprise on his face, as she twists the knife.
Audrey in a prison of stalagmites and stalactites
yells, “Stop. Stop it!”
Mavis turns to Audrey, “Once you stop feeling
the pain so will he.”
FOREST – ON A HILL - DAY
In the forest in the morning Dave on a hill
looks down through his scope at Duke and shoots, a tranquilizer hits a tree
behind Duke.
FOREST - BELOW - DAY
Duke looks over and growls.
FOREST – EAST - DAY
Sam panting, runs with Derek and Kyle.
Derek stops, “We have to go back.” He says.
Kyle stops by him Sam stops, sore from the run
holds her side and catches her breath.
Derek says, “We have to stop Duke.”
Sam asks him, “Aren’t you in the least bit
worried about your men, the man who was attacked. We should get to him.”
Kyle turns to Sam, “I know he’s your husband
but he’s hurting people. We have to stop him. Nick can take care of himself. We
all brought gps trackers, he’ll activate it.”
Sam says, “Now you tell me.”
Derek tells Kyle, “We need to get guns.”
Sam stands in front of them, afraid for Duke’s
life, “Let me make one call.”
EXT. CAVE – FOREST –
DAY/ FOREST – EAST – DAY (GO BETWEEN AS NEEDED)
Dwight, James, and Daniel are on the ground
unconscious in the forest.
A phone rings. Its Dwight’s who lays next to
James and Daniel. Groaning he awakens at the sound as do James and Daniel.
Dwight opens his phone to answer, “Dwight.”
Dwight answers holding his head in pain.
Sam on the other end of the phone paces in the
forest, while a very nervous Kyle and Derek wait, “Dwight I need Nathan. I couldn’t
get him on his phone.”
Dwight looks to the cave, where rock now covers
the entrance. “Sam” he says. “The witches have him.”
Sam on the phone says, “Oh, Damn it. Dwight, I
don’t know what to do.” Sam start to cry, “Duke’s gone homicidal, he’s been affected
by a trouble.”
Derek says, “That’s why we have to kill him.”
Dwight by the cave’s now closed entrance says,
“I’ll meet you. Tell me where you are?”
James argues, “What about Nathan and Audrey?”
Dwight puts his hand up to him telling him to
be quiet.
Daniel pulls James away.
Aside James, pointing to the cave’s now closed
entrance tells Daniel, “We have to get in there.”
Dwight, his phone in his pocket asks, “How? It’s
sandstone if we blow it we can’t know we won’t hurt them.”
Daniel says, “She won’t hurt Audrey. She needs
her.”
James asks, “What about dad? He can heal the
troubled they’ll want to kill him.”
Daniel says, “They’ll make it last as long as
possible.”
Dwight says, “Find another entrance, I have to
help Sam.”
James angry asks, “Why? You’re leaving Nathan
and Audrey for her.”
Daniel scowls annoyed with James.
Dwight argues getting in James’ face, “Duke has
been affected by a trouble, He’s hurting people. This is what we, Audrey,
Nathan, and all of us do.”
Daniel says, “We’ll get Audrey.” giving Dwight
permission to go he pulls James to help him.
Dwight leaves to help Sam.
FOREST – EAST - DAY
Sam with Kyle and Derek tells them, “Dwight’s coming,
what happened before Duke went crazy?”
Derek shakes his head annoyed by the question.
Sam argues, “We have to find out who the
troubled person is and stop it.”
Derek insists, “We have to stop Duke.”
Derek and Kyle head out.
Sam kicks both Derek and Kyle knocking them out,
leaving them on the floor of the forest, “This is for your own good.” Sam says
stepping over them she takes Kyle’s gps tracker, “I’m sorry. I need it for
Dwight to find me.” She activates Derek’s. It starts flashing.
Act IV
INT. CAVE
In the cave Nathan screams as Mavis tortures
him marking him up with a thousand little cuts. He sits tied to a chair
exhausted.
Audrey sits in her stone cage with a steel
face.
She clutches the bars and she notices they start
to crumble in her hands.
Mavis turns to Audrey, “I watched as my
parents, my sisters and brothers as they were slowly tortured to death. And you
know what I learned, they weren’t worth caring about in the first place. I want
you to learn that same lesson. It’s only going to hold you back to care about
him.”
Audrey turns to her, “Okay, I’ve learned it.
Let him go.”
Mavis chuckles, “No, I can tell you still care
about him, otherwise my head wouldn’t hurt so much.”
Mavis turns to Audrey violently, “He’s
destroying my work, he has to pay for that.”
Audrey grabs the bars, “He’s a lot stronger
than you think and so am I, you can’t break me,”
She glances to Nathan, “ramming this down my
throat.” As she glances to he watches her intently as the bars slowly crumble
in her hands.
Mavis turns from Audrey and Audrey yells, “Look
at me!” Audrey yells, “Everything you do to him I am going to do to you.”
Mavis smiles, “Anger, that’s good, you’re
getting to a better place.”
Audrey smiles and nods saying “yeah”.
Nathan charges behind Mavis and using Mavis’s
body breaks through Audrey’s cage.
Mavis lies unconscious.
Nathan falls to the ground Audrey goes to him,
“We have to get you out of here.”
Nathan asks, “What about her?”
Kat comes running yelling, “Mavis, I heard a
crash.”
Before Kat gets to them Audrey, holding Nathan
up gets herself and him down another cave.
Kat seeing Mavis, cries out, “Zara! Zara!”
FOREST – WEST - DAY
Duke in the forest runs through the forest grunting
angrily, mud pianted on his face.
FOREST – EAST - DAY
At the unconscious Kyle and Derek an older man
comes over, men with guns behind him. He wakes up Derek, “What happened?” the
older man asks.
Derek says, “Duke, he’s gone mad.”
The older man turns to his men, “men, we have
some hunting to do.”
FOREST – WEST - DAY
Sam, the tracker on her belt-loop runs, in
another part of the forest. She hears her phone ring. She answers. It’s Vince.
FOREST – HILL – DAY/FOREST
– WEST – DAY (GO BETWEEN AS NEEDED)
Vince on the mountain side tells Sam, “Sam,
Derek and Kyle were picked up by Samuel’s men.”
Sam stutters, “I…I can example.”
Vince says, “You don’t need to explain your
actions…we understand.”
Dave, from his perch watching through the
tranquillizer gun yells, “The men look like they’re heading out to hunt him. They’re
close. Two hundred yards from your south east.”
Dave watches Sam change position, “Other south
east.” Vince says, “to your right.”
Sam adjusts. Vince adds, “We’ll head to you.”
Dave tells Vince to say, “Dwight’s on the way.
Tell her…” Vince hangs up before he says it and Dave and Vince bicker about it
as they head down the mountain;
“Why didn’t you say?” Dave gripes.
“We’d already hung up.” Vince argues.
INT. CAVE – BACK
HALLWAY
Inside the cave Nathan and Audrey are fleeing,
Nathan, limps along.
INT. CAVE - FRONT
In the front of the cave, Zara’s with Mavis.
Mavis unconscious. Kat demands, “She needs to be alright we can’t perform any troublings
with only three.”
Zara yells, “I know that. Why don’t you get
Nathan and Audrey?”
Jeremy beside her, she yells for him to follow
them. Jeremy objects, “They’re together, the pain…”
Kat presses him against a wall, “Do it or
you’ll have more pain to worry about. Find Audrey and Nathan!”
Jeremy runs.
INT. CAVE – BACK
HALLWAY
Nathan and Audrey hear Kat’s orders echo
through the walls.
EXT. CAVE – BACK
ENTRANCE - DAY
At a back entrance to the cave James, and
Daniel stand.
“Audrey!” Daniel yells.
“Dad! Mom!” James yells.
INT. CAVE – BACK HALLWAY
In a hallway of the cave Audrey and Nathan hear
the others calling for them, “James!” Audrey yells.
EXT. CAVE – BACK
ENTRANCE - DAY
James and Daniel hear Audrey.
James is relieved.
Daniel excited steps up to the mouth of the
cave and says, “Follow the sound of my voice!”
INT. CAVE – BACK
HALLWAY
Audrey hesitates, “How do I know that’s really
you?” she yells.
Daniel yells into the cave, “It’s me Angel or
do I need to punch Nathan again.”
Nathan chuckles and cringes for it hurts.
Audrey smiles as she helps Nathan towards the
sound of Daniel’s voice.
FOREST – DAY
Duke grunting in the forest is surrounded by
Derek and Kyle with the older man’s men.
Duke growls at them as they hold guns up on
him, his knife out he slashes at the air.
Derek yells, “Shoot him!”.
Sam looking on from afar says, “No!”
Act V
FOREST - DAY
As the older man’s men with Kyle and Derek aim
ready to shoot Duke, Sam running from afar yells, “No! Don’t!”
Distracted the men are unsure what to do. Duke
approaches one man who out of fear fires. The bullet scraps Duke’s head. Duke
slashes at the man, pulling him in as a shield the older man calls out, “Hold
your fire”.
Some blood sizzles on Duke’s hand, he winces
and it seeps into his skin. Duke’s eyes turn silver he throws the man at the
others.
Kyle’s astonished at the site.
The older man yells, “Fire”
The men fire, as they do all the guns and
bullets are drawn towards Kyle, killing him.
Derek shocked and pissed yells “Attack!”
running for Duke.
As the men attack, Duke, with the knife slaughters
each one. With each, blood seeps into his hands, and his eyes remain silver.
Lastly Duke stabs Derek, as he attacks, and the
blood seeping from Duke’s eyes subside, he’s normal aside from the silver in
his eyes.
He drops the knife and shutters at the seven
dead men on the ground.
Sam finally reaches him and hugs Duke now
covered in blood. He shakes as she says, “It’s okay.” over and over again.
He tries to pull away from her. She won’t let
him, “It wasn’t you and it’s over now.” She says.
Duke clings to her shaking.
Dwight looks on from the other side.
Sam sees him, her head over Duke’s shoulder.
Hugging Duke she says, “They attacked you. It’s over.”
Dwight’s phone rings. He turns to answer,
“Audrey.” He says and sighs with relief. As Duke bleeds from his head, the blood
touches the ground and sizzles against the leaves.

INT. HOSPITAL - DAY
In the hospital Nathan is in a bed recovering.
Dwight speaks as Duke, Sam, Audrey, Dave,
Vince, James and Daniel all around Nathan. Duke cowards in a chair, Sam beside him.
Dwight says, “No one needs to know what Duke
did.”
Sam explains, “The men shouldn’t have attacked
him, they knew what they were getting into. It was war.”
Vince realizes, “From Derek’s service in the
military.”
Dave asks, “It was his trouble?” questioning.
Vince argues with him, “Of course it was. Why else
would it go away as soon as Duke killed him?”
Daniel nods, “Kyle was a magnet, everyone liked
him.”
Duke sits in shame, still shaking, “His trouble
saved my life. They should have killed me.”
Sam shakes her head holding Duke’s hand he
pulls from her, “I killed those people.” Duke says rising from his chair upset.
Sam tries to calm him but he turns from her.
Audrey stands in his way preventing him from
exiting, “The witches want you dead, they did this.”
Nathan adds, “they told us themselves. This was
their plan.”
Duke looks to Nathan, “They did a bang up job
with you, you’re still as ugly.”
Sam and Audrey smile.
Nathan chuckles then winces, laughing causes
him pain.
James says, “I’ll get the nurse.” Nathan thanks
him with a look as James leaves.
Duke surprised says, “You can feel it?”
Nathan nods, “Yeah. They cured me.”
INT. CAPE ROUGE -
EVENING
Sam and Duke enter the main room holding hands,
Duke looking to Sam lovingly. Sam turns to him, “Now, we can talk about
children.”
Duke shakes his head, “Sam…”
Sam “I’m here to listen. You said you’d stop
smuggling. I like the idea.” She says. Duke smiles, sadness still in his eyes he kisses her deeply as if it's all he can do.
INT. HOSPITAL - DAY
Audrey stays with Nathan in the hospital. James
and Daniel come by.
EXT. HOSPITAL - DAY
Dwight in a press release, with a crowd
watching says, “This is what happens when you try to chase the witches yourselves,
let us handle it from her. Let us help the troubled.”
