S6 E9 "Creepy- Crawlies" Haven Rewrites

S6 E9 “Creepy-Crawlies” As a spider trouble, which Nathan is unable to cure plagues Haven, Sam runs into some people from her past and Duke reluctantly helps out the FBI changing his future forever.

Previously on Haven:
In a town where troubles cause supernatural havoc for the people Detective Audrey Parker, her partner/husband Nathan and their friends seek to find and help the troubled and ultimately the town.
When a trouble trapped Audrey in an alternative time, she learned that dear friends Dave and Vince orchestrated the murder of James, her son from a previous life.
Sam’s blood seeping into Duke’s skin, indicates she’s troubled.
The witches who brought the troubles, the leader Audrey’s mother, continue to trouble people in Haven hoping Audrey will join them.

Teaser
Thousands of bugs, spiders, cockroaches, and scorpions crawl inside the Gull Restaurant as it is closed in the early morning. As Duke and Sam approach it, Sam hangs on her husband in a romantic way, gleefully happy about being invited to breakfast. When he opens up, and the spiders crawl out, she freaks out and shrieks. Backing away Sam tells Duke she’ll let him deal with this. Quickly getting into her car, she drives away.
Duke, looking at the mess, sighs, He pulls out his cell phone to call Audrey.
“Hey, I think I have a trouble at the Gull,” Duke says.
Audrey at the Newspaper office of the Harold says, “Usually troubles are with people, not places.”
“Well, the Gull is filled with a million crawling things, and I don’t think that happened naturally.”
“Okay,” Audrey says, “We’ll head over.” Audrey hangs up the phone and Dave and Vince, as they work in the Harold look to her.
Vince asks, “Was that James?”
Dave argues, “Of course it wasn’t James, she talks differently with James. That was Duke.”
Audrey nods as Vince begins to argue, “How am I supposed to know that.”
“If you paid a little more attention you would.” Dave snarls.
“I do pay attention.” Vince insists and turns to Audrey asking, as if he forgot, “What did you and James want to talk to us about?”
“I wanted to wait for him to discuss it. But it doesn’t look like he’s coming.” She says pressing herself up from the seat to get going.
Just then James enters, “Sorry, I overslept.”
Audrey turns to Dave and Vince, “We’re just going to make this simple.” Audrey tells Dave and Vince, “We know that you orchestrated James’ death.”
As Dave and Vince stand flustered, “What makes you think that?” Dave asks.
James adds, “The time travel incident recently left us in a Haven where you were arrested for it.”
Audrey adds, “You admitted it to me.”
Dave and Vince begin to blubber, “We didn’t mean to kill him.” Dave says pleading for mercy.
“You weren’t going to go into the barn willingly,” Vince argues.
“We’re not here for an explanation.” James says, “We’re here to forgive you.”
Dave and Vince look shocked. They look to Audrey. She nods, “I forgive you.”

Just then as Duke waits at the Gull asking, “Where are they?” Audrey Parker, the Real Audrey Parker shows up, “Duke Crocker.” She asks.
He turns to her and asks, “What are you doing here?”
“I thought you could help me with something.” She says and hands him a file.

Meanwhile, Sam walking towards the church shivers patting herself as if there are spiders on her. Not paying attention she runs into a man. Apologizing she looks up to see it’s someone she knows. He introduces himself, “It’s Roy, from college. Funny seeing you here, a bunch of us from college thought this would be a good camping trip. Maybe you could join us, we could get together.” He says grabbing her ass.
She backs away, “No, I’m married.”
Roy looks down at the ring, “Brave man.” He says, “You were like the biggest slut in college. I think you’ve slept with all the guys on this trip….” Cozying up next to her as if telling a secret, “We could make a thing of it?” He asks, “Your husband wouldn’t have to know.”
Sam shakes her head, “No, Roy. It’s not going to happen. I have to get to work.” She says pointing to the church.
“You work at a church.” Roy laughs, “Doesn’t the guilt of your sins weigh on you like a millstone around your neck and being tossed into the sea.”
Feeling ashamed Sam says, “I’m going to go now.” And walks right past him and into the church.

Act I
Audrey and Nathan are at the Gull where there are millions of bugs. They gather evidence, watching the bugs and where they come from?
Duke, rather selfishly, asks James who stands to watch his parents, “How quickly can you get this cleaned up?”
James says, “It depends on how long their investigation takes.”
Duke’s annoyed, “This is not going to be good for business.”
Agent Parker stands by the dock waiting for him, eyeing him with the file still in her hand – he wouldn’t take it.
Duke turns to James, “Pretend like you need to talk to me.” He says.
James looks at him with attitude. But before Duke notices he sees out on the deck there’s are marks on the deck, the outline of a chair and table set. It’s missing. He walks over there – “dang it,” he says. I bolted that thing down, those teenagers managed to steal it again.
“Sounds like something a younger Duke would do.” Nathan says adding, “Karma’s a bitch ha Duke.”
“While you’re here you can lock those hooligans up for me, I’ll get the security footage,” Duke says looking to his cell phone.
“You have security footage?” Audrey asks, “We should look at that for this.” She says pointing to the trouble.
“The Arachne trouble,” Daniel says.
James looks to him and gives a nod of approval for the name.
Duke hands Audrey his smart phone, She looks at the security footage.
“Have you ever seen anything like this before?” James asks Daniel.
“No, never. This is new.” Daniel says.
“The witches are troubling again,” Nathan says.
“Yes, but I’m more worried why they took time off. Why haven’t any of their tricks affected us recently?”
Audrey turns to the others as she stares at the footage in shock, “Guys, um teenagers didn’t steal the table and chairs.”
She shows them footage of a middle aged man sitting down, every time he touches something it turns into bugs. His feet touch the table, and it turns into bugs.
“We have to find him.” Nathan says, “This town could turn into a pile of bug if we don’t.”
Quickly Daniel, Audrey, Nathan, and James head to their cars.
Duke stands there, “Wait, what about this.” He says pointing to the bugs, “My phone.” He says as Audrey has taken it with her.
The Real Audrey comes up from the dock, “It doesn’t look like you have much going on, so you have time for me now.”
Duke sighs, “What exactly is it you want?”
“Your help with a case.”
“Why me?”
“Because we know you know this man.” Agent Audrey says as she puts down a picture.
“I know him well enough to stay away from him.” Duke says grabbing a broom to clean up, referring to the bugs he asks, “You think I could make Philippine delicacies out of these.”
Agent Parker squeamishly says, “I don’t’ know if anyone would eat it.”
Duke nods, “Yeah.”
Agent Parker follows Duke as he sweeps the bugs off the cliff, “We need your help to catch him, he’s got a big shipment coming in soon…something that he’s eager to get more so than anything we’ve seen. We have a location, but we can’t get to it, without being suspect.”
“Where?” Duke asks.
“An oil rig, Rig Elsa.”
Duke looks at her as if he’s never heard of it.
“We know you’ve used it.”
“A lot of smugglers use it.”
“Which is why he would never suspect you were FBI.”
“I’m out of the business. I promised my wife I would be and that wasn’t something that came easily to me. It took a comma to get me out—all my contacts dried up.”
“You don’t need any contacts.”
“Where have I been the last year?”
“Let the FBI take care of that.”
“Yeah….I’m not going to let the FBI do anything for me,” Duke says having little trust in the FBI. “I promised my wife I was done with that life. You can threaten me or arrest me, but I’m done.”
Agent Parker nods, “Okay, I well…” she sighs deeply, “I guess you want your wife to decide your life for you.”
Duke looks at her realizing she’s trying to anger him, “She’s very good at making decisions.”  He says not taking the bait.

Meanwhile, Sam is in her office, a man enters. “Roy told me you worked here.” Looking around he says, “I couldn’t believe it.”
“Zane, what are you doing here?” Sam asks annoyed.
“Had to check this out. Check you out.” He gives her a once over, “You’ve still got everything that I could ever want.”
“I’m married.” Sam reiterates, “I suppose Roy forgot to tell you that.”
“I’m married too.” Zane says, “What happens on the camping trip stays on the camping trip.”
Sam looks at him disgusted, “Get out.”
“You’ll always be a slut, Sam, it’s part of who you are?”
“Get out, or I will have you escorted out.” She says and looks to the phone about to call 911 when she looks up he is gone.

Out in the hallway Agent Parker waits, the receptionist says, “She should be available now.”
Agent Parker enters, and Sam yells, “I said get out.”
“They said I could…” Agent Parker says motioning her entrance.
Sam shakes her head, “Not you, someone else. What can I do for you Agent Parker?”
“I hoped you’d give your husband permission to help me.”
Sam looks at Agent Parker suspect. “Why would I need to give him permission?”

Back at the station Audrey and Nathan stand amongst other police officers as Dwight gives a speech, the man’s picture from Duke’s video is posted on the wall. “You’re looking for this man.” Dwight says, “He’s dangerous. Do not let him touch you. Head out.”
He says, and everyone disperses expect for Audrey and Nathan who Dwight approaches, “What are we going to do with him when we find him?” Dwight asks.
Audrey turns to Nathan and Dwight interrupts, “Nathan can’t heal him. He’ll just become a pile of spiders.”

Just then the man appears at a store, hungry he looks to a stock boy to help him, open the box. The boy won’t. He says "you have to pay for it." And when the boy confronts him he touches him and the boy turns to spiders the man runs. On his way out, chased by the manager the man touches the store wall and the entire store turns to bugs.

Act II
The entire town is swarming with bugs, instead of finding the man, the cops are clearing the roads, including Daniel and James. Traffic is being diverted.

Sam seeing bugs blast past the church is creeped out again. She walks out of the office and tells the receptionist I’m working from home today.
Outside, talking to herself she says, “The nice thing about living on a boat is bugs don’t walk over water.”
“Talking to yourself.” A man says.
Sam looks and says, “Hunter,” surprised. She shakes her head, “No, I’m not talking to any of you guys.”
“Hey,” Hunter says walking in front of her, “I’m here to apologize for Roy and Zane. They were out of line.”
Sam stops and looks to Hunter, “You were always the nice one.”
“Well, if I recall that’s why you slept with me so it’d be stupid to stop now.”
Sam annoyed walks past him. Hunter follows her saying, “It was a joke. I’m not here to hit on you. My wife just had twins, baby boys. I’m not going to do anything to jeopardize that.” He holds out pictures.
Sam stops and looks at them, “How old are they?”
“They’ll be six months next month.” He says looking at the pictures lovingly. He looks to Sam, “We would love to have you come to the camp site.”
Sam begins to walk away, and Hunter follows saying, “Bring your husband. I hear that he’s pretty fierce and the woods are dangerous for campers.”
Sam stops, “Haven doesn’t allow camping within the woods.” she says.
“Yeah, we’re at the motel now. But they have a fire pit, come for a bit, please. You’re not a slut. It was unfair of them to call you that.” Hunter says.
Sam begins to recall them calling her a slut and shivers about it.
“Will and Max and I will keep Roy and Zane at bay,” Hunter promises.
Sam says, “I’ll think about it.” and walks on, quickly getting into her car, as she shakes creeped out looking at the bugs in the street.

Down in the Rouge, Duke is eating. Hearing noise he calls out, “Sam?”
She comes down and says, “It’s me. I couldn’t get any work done at the church.”
Duke gleefully offers, “We can have lunch, you want a sandwich.”
“I would love that,” Sam says, and Duke takes out another plate.
“I had an interesting visit today,” Sam says as she walks over to Duke.
“Yeah?” Duke inquires as he pulls the bread out.
“Agent Parker asked me to talk to you about the mission she wants you to do.”
Duke’s manner deflates annoyed as Sam walks up to him and continues saying, “She told me to give you permission.” Sam says it finding what Agent Parker asked repugnant as if she’s Lord over him and their relationship isn’t a partnership.
Duke hesitantly inquires, “What did you say?”
“I told her that if you thought you couldn’t because I wasn’t giving you permission, then I’m not going to argue with that.”
Duke chuckles knowing Sam’s being cheeky with Agent Parker. But Sam approaches Duke a little closer as he continues to make a sandwich, “The thing is I’m a little confused, we never even talked about it. Why do you think I wouldn’t give you permission?”
Duke sighs, “Sam.” He says shaking his head. He stops making her sandwich.
“Duke, I’m not trying to bust your chops. But honestly permission. I don’t want to be painted that way. Help me understand so that I can support you in whatever you decide. That’s all I ever wanted.”
“She wasn’t supposed to talk to you.” Duke says annoyed, “I don’t want to do it.”
“Okay, then tell her that.” Sam presses.
“I did. She wouldn’t accept that.” Duke argues.
“Honestly, I kind of see her point,” Sam says, which riles Duke up. He opens his mouth to talk, but Sam beats him to it, “I don’t get it. You go out of your way to help troubled people. You’re even helping with the Church group, but you won’t help Agent Parker. Is it because she’s FBI?”
“No, it’s because I’d be smuggling.” Duke takes a breath, and Sam listens, “You made it clear if I started again we wouldn’t have kids. I want kids with you.”
“But you’re not going to be smuggling just pretending to,” Sam says.
“There’s a fine line between them Sam…and I don’t know if I can make the distinction. The only reason I gave it up was because of the comma. I can’t go back. It wasn’t a good life. I don’t want it.”
“Okay, I can respect that. I know what it’s like to be tempted by something you know is no good for you.” Sam sighs, “I also know that if you choose to help her, I’d support you. I’d have faith that you could separate the two, and if you didn’t, I’ll still be here.” She says hugging him and he wraps his arms around her. As she looks up to him, she says, “to put you in another comma.” He laughs. “You have my permission now.” She says. Just then her phone rings. She looks down and sees the name. She says, “It’s Login. He’s probably upset about the trouble.”
Duke takes the phone, “Let me. I know you really hate bugs.” She shakes creeped out just hearing about it. Duke answers and goes off into the bedroom saying, “Let’s get you all together to help with the search.”

Agent Parker comes into the station as Duke, Nathan, and Audrey are there. Duke tells Dwight that he thought the Church group might benefit from helping out. Dwight nods, “I think they might.” Agent Parker asks Dwight, “Is there anything I can do to help.” As Audrey and Nathan come over.
“We’re actually good.” Dwight says, “Thanks to Duke, we’ve got people stationed all over Haven.”
“Well since Duke didn’t want to help me I figured I might as well offer. My boss isn’t going to be happy.”
Duke looks to Agent Parker, “It’s peer pressure now, with a bit of emotional blackmail.” he says sarcastically.
Agent Parker looks over to him with an ‘I don’t know what you mean’ look saying, “Emotional blackmail?”
Duke nods, “I am married I know what emotional blackmail is.” He pulls her aside and says, “If I helped you do this when would we leave?”
“I can have a chopper here within an hour. The meet takes place tonight. You’ll be home in the morning.”
Duke nods, “Okay, just this once.”
“Okay.” Agent Parker sighs happily. They quickly exit.

Dave directs the church group, “If you see him don’t let him touch you.”
Nathan and Audrey watch as they give them walkie talkies, some pink with sparkles because they were donated. Audrey looks to Nathan and Dwight, “What’s going to happen with the church group when they find out we’re going to kill him.”
“We’ll have to explain to them that certain situations call for it,” Nathan says.
Audrey sighs upset.
Just then a call comes in, “we see him in the forest.” Daniel says over the walkie.

Daniel and James standing at a distance bug man in the forest eats the bugs he makes, starving and crying he shakes upset and angry. Punching a rock it turns to bugs.

Act III
In the forest, Daniel speaking into the walkie maintains his distance as he sees a man surrounded by spiders. The man sobbing doesn’t seem to see him. Audrey and Nathan come up to Daniel and James. James says to Audrey, “We have to get him to calm down.” As if asking.
Daniel sighs, “That’s not going to do much good.”
James looks to Audrey and Nathan, “You’re not going to…” He’s annoyed looking at Nathan who has his hand on his gun.
“We don’t know if we can control him and how is he going to live?” Nathan asks.
James looks to Audrey annoyed, “Mom.” He pleads.
“Do you have any other ideas?” She says irritated she has to go through with this.
James shakes his head and bites his lip walking away from them.
As Nathan positions himself on the other side of the man. Audrey walks out to the man calling out, “Hello!” but he sees Nathan pointing the gun at him. Angrily he starts to run towards Nathan.
Audrey runs after him as Nathan shoots. But the bullet hitting the man turns into a spider and does nothing. Nathan dashes aside just in time.
“You’ll pay for this!” The man yells.

From a distance, up in the trees Mavis, smiling, watches Nathan get up, Kat is behind her.
Mavis tells Kat, “You’re plan is working beautifully.”
Kat responds, “A trouble they can’t stop. The church group will be raging again.”
Mavis adds snickering, “And they have no idea this is only the distraction from destroying Sam.” She turns to Kat, “After being shot and sent through time bugs was what it took to set off her trouble.”
“Sam hates bugs,” Kat says chuckling.

On the other side of town, Sam hears a noise and walks up above ship, “Please don’t let it be bugs.” Hunter is there, “I wanted to see how you were.” He says as if concerned.
A man working with the riggings of his boat watches Sam as she says “Hunter that’s nice of you but you really didn’t need to.” What the man sees is Sam talking to no one.
“Right, we know how you are?” Hunter says yelling, “Slut!”
Sam struggles with what she sees trying to argue against it, but her vision is clouded as she falls down the rouge ladder.

In a field on the edge of Haven, Duke’s picked up by a helicopter. Both he and Agent Parker get on. “You’ll be in and out by morning.” She says.

Act IV
Audrey and Nathan sit inside their office with Dwight, Dave, Vince, and Daniel. They are upset, “We can’t shoot him.” Audrey says.
“We have to,” Vince argues.
Nathan steps up, “You don’t understand we can’t actually get a bullet through his skin. It simply turns into a bug.”
“We have to find a different way to kill him,” Audrey says. She hesitates to say the word kill.
“Electricity, another trouble?” Dwight asks.
“Sound,” Vince says. “Olivia Daily has the ability to make sound that can burst blood vessels.
Dwight nods, “Call her.” He turns to Audrey, “Where’s James?”
“He’s mad at me.” Audrey says, “I sent him to watch Danielle.”
Dwight nods.

James is at Audrey and Nathan’s with Danielle watching her sleep.

Sam is in trouble on the ground of the rouge. She’s scrapped up her head hurt. As she wakes up her head in a haze, Hunter, Roy, and Zane are around her taunting her, “You no good slut.” Hunter says kicking her.
“You really think you could change your spots.” Roy asks saying “You’ll always be that slut who’d take anything.”
“We’ve just had such a good time,” Zane says, and Sam looks down, though she’s dressed what she sees is herself in a sheet. She holds onto her shirt thinking she’s holding the sheet over her and tries to cover herself.
“What’s Duke going to think when he gets back?” Hunter asks.
“He’s going to kill you,” Roy says.
Zane steps up to her, “You might as well choose how you’ll go.”
Sam picks up Duke’s gun hidden under the table.

Duke on the oil rig passes by the man from the photo Agent Parker showed him.
Duke is asking other men about any jobs they might know about.
“Duke” the man calls out to him, “I thought you were out of this life.”
“Not out.” Duke says ignoring him, “Just light.” He turns from him, “I better get these stored, can’t blow the job I have.”
In a submarine, Agent Parker speaks through a mike, “Engage with him.” She says, and Duke hears her voice through an earpiece deep in his ear.
Duke’s irritated turned away from him says, “No.”
Agent Parker insists, “Duke if you don’t do this, he’ll get away.”
“I’ve got work.” The man says.
“But you’re a sick son of a bitch,” Duke says to the man.
The man chuckles, “And you are reliable, most especially when you get a huge pay day. I can give you two grand if you help me tonight.”
Duke’s hesitant.
“It will be ten for the week. Could buy that little lady of yours something nice.”
“She has a name.”
My apologies, “I never learn my girl’s names.”
“And that’s part of what makes you a sick son of a bitch.”
The man chuckles.
Agent Parker is irritated, “Don’t push him away.” She yells through the ear piece.
“You’ll do it then.” The man tells Duke as he holds out his hand.
Duke nods with a sigh, “Yeah.” He shakes his hand, “Just this week.”
“Good,” The man says.
Agent Parker instructs Duke to ask him where the cargo is.
“So what’s the cargo?” Duke asks.
Agent Parker interrupts, “Where it is not what?”
The man answers, “You don’t need to worry about that. I just need you to guard it.”
“I can’t help you move it if I don’t know what it is,” Duke argues.
“I’ve got that covered Duke. You just protect it.”
“I’d like to know if its explosives if I’m going to be anywhere near this thing. I’m sure at the first time of trouble you’d just blow me up.”
The man chuckles, “You do know me.” He leads Duke down a staircase.
Agent Parker on the submarine tells Duke, “Thank you. To safely send men in we do need to know that.”
As the man and Duke walk down the stairs the man assures him, “It’s not explosives.”
Duke asks, “Show me and I’ll believe you.”
The man pulls out a gun, “Why are you so eager to get me to show you.” He asks putting his gun to Duke’s head.

Act V
Duke is irritated, as the smuggler, the FBI is after holds a gun on him, “What’s this. You jumpy now.”
“The FBI has been messing with my business just as I was starting to make it in a big way.”
“Yeah, that’s what making it in a big way does. Why the gun? You just hired me to watch your cargo you won’t even let me see. You don’t’ trust me?” He says as if a question. “You’re the one that’s untrustworthy Trent. I’ve earned my reputation of being trustworthy. I always follow through.”
Trent puts down his gun, “Yeah, you do.” Putting the gun away he points with his head to a door on the oil rig, “You want to see my cargo.”
Duke follows him to open the door. As he opens it, turning the crank, the door creaking open Agent Parker tells Duke talking into a mike that feeds to his ear piece, “Just tag it and get out of there. We’ll take care of the rest.”
As Trent opens the door Duke’s eyes widen at the sight he sees. He grabs Trent around the neck knocking him out. What he sees is a room full of girls filthy and afraid some as young as six, and he tells them, “You’re going to be okay.”
In a room with Agent Parker, she thanks him.
Duke nods asking curious, “You wouldn’t have been able to help them without me?”
Agent Parker shakes her head, they wouldn’t have.
“If you need me again, call.”
Agent Parker holds up a phone, “Take this.” As he takes it she says, “I thought you might say that, hoped. We’ll call.”
Duke nods.

Audrey and Nathan are walking through the forest as the sun begins to rise, “We’ve been walking all night.” Nathan says frustrated.
“Everyone has been,” Audrey says, we can’t exactly confine him.
Dwight comes up with a woman, Olivia, “The Church group has managed to chorale him towards a cliff. It’s falling or facing us.”
“I guess I’m glad they’re on our side. For now.” Audrey says annoyed.
“You have to do this Audrey.” Nathan urges her.
“I’ve called James in,” Dwight says. Audrey looks up shocked. “You two are the only ones that can restrain him.” Dwight reminds her.
Olivia hands her ear phones, “To protect you.” She says.
Audrey turns to her, “Thank you for doing this.”

At Nathan and Audrey’s house, James grabs his gun and badge and walks over to Danielle who coos in her crib. He looks to her as she stretches out her hands and legs. He has a thought and picks her up and runs out the door.

Audrey, Dwight, Nathan, and Olivia approach the middle aged man as he stands by a cliff. He doesn’t see them but is afraid of falling and of the men around him.
Olivia tells Audrey, we can’t wait we have to go without James.
Audrey nods and walks up with Oliva as Nathan and Dwight head back.
The man yells at Audrey as she approaches. “You did this.” He yells, “You got me here. Now what? You’re going to kill me.” He yells. “They’re watching you know. The Church group. They won’t take kindly to this. It will show how much of a hypocrite you are!”
Audrey yells around, “We’ll take care of this! Back away!”
He charges Oliva, but Audrey engages him and punches him. He lies on his stomach with Audrey stands over him pressing him down.
Audrey urges him, “You’re troubled, and you’re hurting people.”
“Help me control it.” He pleads.
Audrey regretful says, “I don’t think you can. This isn’t your fault, but it has to be this way.”
“Heal me. You said you could heal the troubles.”
“We can’t heal this,” Audrey says and pressing her knee against the small of his back to keep him down she puts on her ear covers. Mavis watches from a tree smiling.
Suddenly James comes up to them holding baby Danielle he says, “Wait!”
Audrey seeing him with baby Danielle says, “What are you doing?”
“She can heal him. She’s immune like us and a healer like dad. We have to try.” James pleads.
Audrey lifts the man up, and James holds up baby Danielle so she can touch his face. Her hands begin to glow slightly and the man breaths deeply. Audrey pulls out a coin from her pocket and puts it up to his skin. It stays a coin.
The man sobs turning to James, “Thank you.” He looks to baby Danielle who is cooing happily, “Thank you little one.”
Audrey looks to her daughter happily sadness in Audrey’s eyes for almost killing him.
Mavis watching from the trees clenches her teeth in anger.

On the Rouge, Duke gets back and goes under to see Sam. She’s in a corner laying hurt her leg cut. He runs to her, “Sam.” She sits there with the gun in her clutches as she stutters to herself, “I’m a slut, I’m slut. Stop it stop it.” She says as she sees Zane, Roy, and Hunter taunting her.
Duke looks down to her concerned, “Sam, what happened?”
She sees Duke say, “How could you cheat on me?”
She looks to him and wines, “I’m sorry. I cheated on you. You deserve better.” She says and holds the gun to her head. Duke grabs it from her, and with a clenched jaw, he says, “I don’t care. I love you.”
She hears him say, “I hate you, to be with a man in our home. To find you naked with him. You should suffer not take the easy way out.”
Zane taunts her saying, “She was with all of us.”
Sam says, “Stop it, Zane stop it. You may have had my body, but you don’t get my heart!”
Duke worried says, “Sam, there’s no one here.” And looks to her wound, “you hit your head.” He says and touches it, the blood seeps into his skin. He realizes that Sam’s being affected by a trouble. He pulls out his phone speaking into it, “Nathan, Sam needs you. She’s troubled.”

Daniel standing next to Audrey tells her, “I knew there was something else that Mavis was up to.”
“The arachnid trouble almost ripped the town apart.” Audrey said, “I would have thought that would be enough.
Looking to Nathan, Daniel asks, “How’s Sam?”
          “Shaken but healed.”

Down below in the Rouge Sam lays on the bed as Duke brings her water. She thanks him. Duke worried crawls on the bed and holds her, “I love you.” He says holding her from behind, “I can’t lose you like that.”
“You won’t,” Sam assures him putting her hands on his around her.
“It took less than one day to go from confident to suicidal.”
“They taunted me for hours.”
“You have to have that in you, Sam. Don’t hide that from me.”
“I won’t.” She says turning to him lovingly.
“I don’t care if you cheated on me.” He says sadness in his eyes. He blinds shaking his head reiterating, “I mean, I do, but I love you. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Sam smiles happily, yet sadness is in her eyes, “I didn’t cheat on you, Duke. I just thought I did. They made me think I did. I couldn’t bare that.”
“I’m here for you no matter what,” Duke says. She hugs him and asks, “How did your trip go?”
“I should talk to you about that,” Duke says. As they are laying on the bed, he says, “I was part of something really good. It felt good.” Sam smiles.

In a dark cave, Zara reports that Sam is still alive. Mavis is angry as Kat is shocked.
“I want to level this town.”
“You’re daughter?” Kat calls out.
“All those troubles,” Zara says excited about them.
“We are going to destroy Haven.”

Daniel meets James that night outside Audrey and Nathan’s as they put down Danielle. “You worried about her?” James asks.
“Always. Now that Danielle has shown the town she can heal Mavis is going to be pissed. We’ve messed up with her plans too many times. We need to be ready.”
          “We have been.”
“What’s coming next is far worse than you can imagine. It’s war.” Daniel says just as Mavis says it in the cave.
